• In past, India has been a member of ICH Committee for two times viz., during 2006-2010 and 2014-2018.
• Intangible cultural heritage is the practices, expressions,knowledge and skills that communities, groups and individuals recognise as part of their cultural heritage.
• Currently, UNESCO’s Representative List of the intangible cultural heritage of humanity has 630 elements.
• As of 2021, 14 cultural heritages of India have been placed in UNESCO’s Representative List of the intangible cultural heritage of humanity.
